Meet the team
Our team is always available to discuss and service client requirements. We welcome potential and existing clients to our offices in Gibraltar. Located in the established Europort area, we can provide Board Room and full back office facilities to give Companies and Funds a prestigious and secure base location.
In addition to the above, one of our Directors is available for meetings outside Gibraltar, such as London, Madrid, Paris and Geneva, usually within a few days' notice. This is on a no fee charge basis for initial meetings and discussions.
Steven Knight, ACA, TEP, MIOD
Managing Director - The Castle Trust Group
Steven is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Institute of Directors. Formerly of Coopers & Lybrand and Touche Ross, he was appointed to start up and manage the Gibraltar office of Price Waterhouse in 1989. He established the Castle Group in 1992 and is widely considered as a specialist in international tax planning for both wealthy individuals and companies. Steven holds a company manager license issued by Gibraltar's Financial Services Commission in relation to the provision of Directorships to Experienced Investor Funds.
Trevor James Nichols, FCIB, FIM, MSTEP
Trevor has contributed to the financial services sector in Gibraltar since 1988, originally as co-founding shareholder and Managing Director of the Ocean Group, a licensed company management company which was acquired by Havelet Trust Company in 1995. He was appointed Managing Director of Havelet Trust Company in 1996 where he remained until the company was acquired by another Gibraltar based Trust Company in 1999.
Trevor has over 35 years' experience in the finance industry and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Fellow of the Institute of Management and a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. From 2001 to 2011 Trevor was also a director of a Guernsey based trust company.
He holds a Company Manager licence issued by Gibraltar's Financial Services Commission in relation to the provision of directorship to Experienced Investor Funds.
Colin Gibbs, ACIB
An associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Colin has undertaken senior financial services roles in several offshore jurisdictions for a variety of first class organisations. Upon joining the Castle Trust Group in 2011 he has taken on the management of the Group and ensures that all company activities are fully compliant with local, EU and international regulatory standards and directives.
David de Sotomayor, BA, MFB
Fund Administration Manager
Before joining Castle Fund Administrators, David worked for Dublin based JP Morgan Chase specialising in Fund Management. With strong organisational and management skills, his attention to detail ensures smooth running of the fund administration process.
David has a BA in International Business Operations from the Lindenwood University, St Louis, USA and a Masters in Finance from Madrid. He is fluent in Spanish and English and written French.
